My first play outline

TITLE: The suntanned zebra.

RECOMMENDED AGE GROUP: Level 1 (1st cycle Primary)

CHARACTERS: Zoe the zebra, Hilary the hippo and Tally the tiger.

SYNOPSIS: Zoe is a pretty zebra. It is summer. She wants to go to the beach and she wants to be suntanned. But what can she do with her stripes? They are black and white! What will happen? Maybe some friends will help her.

CHARACTER OBJECTIVES:
Zoe is a bit vain; she wants to be pretty and nice all the time. But she is kind with her friends and she listens to them.
Hilary is a funny hippo. She wants to have fun all the time. She is always laughing, singing and talking! She is never worried about her aspect. She only wants to be with her friends, to talk to them and to play with them.
Tally is a shy tiger. She doesn’t talk frequently. But she loves her friends and she always helps them when they need it!

SCENE BREAKDOWN:
Scene one: It is summer. It is a beautiful beach day. Zoe is at home looking through the window. She wants to go to the beach. She is waiting for her friend, Hilary the hippo.
Scene two: Hilary arrives at Zoe’s house. She is expecting to go to the beach with her. So she encourages Zoe to take all her beach stuff to go there!
Scene three: Zoe is a bit worried. She doesn’t know what to wear or what she can do with her stripes. She wants to suntan. But she has black and white stripes. She tells Hilary.
Scene four: Hilary gets thunderstruck. She doesn’t know what to tell her friend neither how to help her!
Scene four: Tally the tiger arrives at Zoe’s house. She wants her friends to go with her to the beach. When Zoe and Hilary stare at her, they start to laugh! Tally gives them the solution Zoe needs! A striped bikini!
